Postpartum rehab can begin in the early weeks after birth with breathwork and gentle movement, and progress gradually as healing allows. Listening to your body is key here and also giving yourself time to heal both mentally and physically. When you are ready to start moving again you'll need to be cleared by your doctor.
Postpartum rehab prioritizes core coordination, pelvic floor function, and nervous system regulation before intensity or load. By slowly increasing intensity and focusing on how your body is moving and reacting to movement, you are setting a stronger foundation for your body and allowing it time to rehab properly.
